Bending coefficient belongs to the sheet metal processing category. A very simple method to calculate the bending coefficient belongs to the empirical formula of 90 degree bending coefficient: 1.7 times the material thickness calculation method.

During 90° sheet metal bending, 1.7 times the material thickness is subtracted from the right Angle bending. If the material is a 1mm iron plate, the bending angle is 90 degrees, and the bending size is 100 and 50, the calculation method is: 100+50-1.7=148.3mm. The calculation is the expansion length. This 1.7 is said to be 1.6 or 1.65 times. Yes, it can be adjusted a little. Because the bending die used by each gold factory is not exactly the same, the error is very small, can not be adjusted, the requirements can also be slightly adjusted.

Here, for a particular angle, the bending coefficient can be calculated in a simple way. When the bending angle of sheet metal processing is 135°, the bending coefficient can be reduced by 0.5 times of the material thickness. If the material is a 1mm iron plate, the bending angle is 135 degrees, and the bending size is 100 and 50, the calculation and expansion method is: 100+500.5=149.5mm. Other sheet metal thicknesses can be calculated in the same way. Only available at 135 degrees, not at other angles.

There is also a special angle in the bending of sheet metal machining, that is, sheet metal ruffles (also known as crushing edges) can be calculated in a simple way. The bending coefficient is equal to 0.4 times the thickness of the sheet metal. For example, if the material is 1mm iron plate, the bending is a dead edge, and the bending size is 100 and 10, then the calculation and expansion method is 10010-0.4= 109.6mm. This calculation is an empirical formula and is very accurate.

However, due to the different use of equipment, some sheet metal processing manufacturers, in the determination of sheet metal bending coefficient, there may be some differences; therefore, we should analyze the actual situation to determine the appropriate sheet metal processing bending coefficient.
